SixteenEight is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your health data belongs to you and you alone.

Local-first by design: The core app works entirely offline with all data stored on your device. Community features are completely optional and opt-in—you choose if and when to use them.

Free forever: All features are available at no cost. There are no paywalls, subscriptions, or features locked behind payments.

Data Storage

All your core data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your fasting data, health information, or personal details to our servers unless you explicitly opt in to community features.

• Fasting history is stored locally on your device
• Settings and preferences are stored locally
• No account creation is required for core features
• The app works fully offline—no internet connection needed for fasting tracking

Permissions

The app may request the following permissions:

• Notifications: To remind you when your fast is complete or when to start fasting
• Exact Alarms: To ensure notifications arrive at the correct time

Analytics

We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. The core fasting tracking features work completely offline and do not require any external servers.

Community Features (Opt-In Only)

Community features are entirely optional. You must explicitly choose to create an account and participate. If you decide to use these features, the following applies:

• Account Information: If you create an account, we store your email address and display name
• Your Data Stays Local: Your fasting data always remains stored locally on your device. Community features do not sync or backup your fasting data—they are for sharing and social interaction only.
• Your Data Is Not Shared: Your personal data is used solely for providing the app's features. We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties.
• Group Data: Information you explicitly share with groups (such as fasting status or messages) is stored on our servers and visible to group members
• User Content: Any content you post in community features may be visible to other users
• Complete Data Deletion: When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers. This includes your account information and any content you've shared in community features. This action is irreversible.
• Internet Required: Community features require an internet connection to function

You can use SixteenEight's core fasting tracking features indefinitely without ever creating an account or connecting to the internet. Community features are a separate, opt-in experience.

Third-Party Content

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other users in community features. Be mindful of the personal information you share with others.
