Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using the SixteenEight app, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not use the app.
Use of the App
SixteenEight is a fasting tracking app designed to help you monitor your intermittent fasting schedule. The app is provided "as is" for personal use.
Offline-First Design: The core fasting tracking features work entirely offline with all data stored locally on your device. No account or internet connection is required.
Optional Community Features: Community features (such as groups and social interactions) are completely opt-in. These features require an internet connection and account creation, but you are never required to use them.
No Paywalls: All features are available for free. There are no premium tiers, subscriptions, in-app purchases, or features locked behind payments. This applies to both core features and community features.
Service Availability & Modifications
Core features are always available: The offline fasting tracking features will continue to work on your device regardless of any changes to online services.
Community features are provided as-is: While we strive to keep community features available and free, we reserve the right to:
- Limit, suspend, or discontinue community features at any time
- Impose usage limits or restrictions on community services
- Modify or remove specific community functionality
- Restrict access to community features for any user or group of users
These actions may be taken for any reason, including but not limited to: unsustainable infrastructure costs, abuse of services, technical limitations, or business decisions. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of significant changes, but are not obligated to do so. Your continued use of the app's core offline features will not be affected by any changes to community services.

SixteenEight is not a medical app and does not provide medical advice.
- Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting any fasting regimen
- The app is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease
- Intermittent fasting may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with certain medical conditions
- Stop fasting and seek medical attention if you experience any adverse effects
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- SixteenEight and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use or inability to use the app
- We are not responsible for any health outcomes, whether positive or negative, resulting from your use of the app or following any fasting regimen
- We are not liable for any data loss, device damage, or other technical issues
- The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
- We disclaim all warranties including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
Community Features & User Conduct (Opt-In Only)
Community features are entirely optional. If you choose to opt in and use community features (such as groups or social interactions), you agree to:
- Not post harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
- Not share misleading health or medical information
- Not impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
- Not use community features for spam, advertising, or commercial purposes
- Respect other users and their privacy
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines. You can stop using community features at any time and continue using the core offline app.
Data Usage & Your Rights
Your data belongs to you.
- Local Storage: Your fasting data is stored locally on your device. Community features do not sync or backup your fasting data—they are for sharing and social interaction only.
- Internal Use Only: Any data you share through community features is used solely to provide the app's features. We do not sell, share, or provide your personal data to third parties.
- Account Deletion: You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers, including account information and any content you've shared in community features.
- Data Portability: You can export your local fasting data at any time using the app's export feature.
User-Generated Content
We are not responsible for user-generated content.
- Content posted by other users does not represent our views or advice
- We do not endorse or verify the accuracy of user-generated content
- Any reliance on user-generated content is at your own risk
- Users are solely responsible for their own content and interactions
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SixteenEight and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the app, violation of these terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
